The Recession Blues

The economy is something that is on everyone’s mind these days. No wonder with all the bad economic news in the media. We have announcements of job losses worldwide daily in addition to the financial meltdown that is President George W. Bush’s legacy.

We are all asking will we recover and when? The economy will recover, but it will take a few years. Sorry, I can’t be more specific about the time. The world’s future is the result of decisions world leaders make, especially the U.S. The timing of the decisions will affect the timing of the recovery. So this is the best prediction I can make about the timing based on the psychic impressions I have received.

Everyone will be affected by the worldwide recession in some way, myself included. Psychics and Mediums are not immune from the broader, external environment, which is beyond our control. There are those that will be greatly impacted and some not so much depending on whether or not they were caught up in the frenzied environment of the Bush years.

What I find is that this all could have been avoided if the world and financial leaders had exercised some common sense and weren’t consumed with greed. Memories are so short. No one seems to learn from the mistakes of the past when the world experienced problems such as we face today. And, there never seem to be enough checks and balances to prevent what is happening now.

Then, snake oil philosophies like The Secret that say you can have everything you want just added to the frenzied, unbridled greed. Tough lesson for those who followed the so-called Secret. I’ve written several articles on The Secret that you can read for yourself if you haven’t already. Type in Secret in the Search box and you will find the Articles.

It appears that the companies who were doing the most consumer gouging are the ones that are being bailed out while the smaller businesses are left out. The oil companies are still trying to see if they can increase the price of oil again. They do this with the excuse of the Middle East conflict. Well, the Middle East has had a conflict since 1948. I don’t see it ending anytime soon. The oil industry are carpetbaggers in my opinion. I’ve said this before.

In Canada one of the biggest stumbling blocks to consumer spending is the usurious credit card interest rates. The prime interest rate is close to zero, while credit card companies are charging sometimes up to 26% and more because of the fine print. In my opinion, this is tantamount to loan sharking. Back in the 1980s interest rates climbed to 22% in Canada. The credit card companies were charging the same as mortgage rates. Their rates never decreased when mortgage rates did. My suggestion, don’t use credit cards and let Federal Canadian politicians know. Things do change if enough people get involved and complain to government.

Still take heart. North America and indeed the world has come through economic situations similar to the one we are in presently. Use whatever coping strategies you can such as meditation if you are in a difficult situation. Enlist friends and family for support through these difficult times. And see a Psychologist, Psychiatrist or Naturopathic doctor if you are overwhelmed by anxiety or depression. I do not recommend “therapists.” They do not have rigorous University training. Nor do they have a professional association or body. Of course, I am available for spiritual/Spirit counseling and/or guidance which comes directly from your own Spirit Guides and loved ones. Please click on Products to book an appointment. All appointments are confidential.

We will have to work through whatever situation we are in. Eventually, there will be a light at the end of the tunnel for the world economy.
